Masy Systems offers custom thermocouple probes and wire in Ultra Premium Select Grade (accuracy ± 0.18°C at 0°C), Type T, 7 strand, FEP insulated (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) 22 and 28 awg, and Kapton® insulated
22 awg.

Disconnect Options and Thermocouple Tip Kits

Masy Systems thermocouples are specifically designed for validation and thermal mapping. Thermocouple probes are harnessed, tipped (FEP only) and labeled with steam resistant high visibility labels. FEP and Kapton® insulated wire are available standard in 1000 foot rolls or in custom
length spools.

Initial (pre-run) and final (post-run) thermocouple calibrations can be performed with lows to highs of -196°C to 400°C and checks of -80°C
to 400°C.

We also have Thermocouple Feedthrough Assemblies and Adaptors for rental and purchase for sterilizer/autoclave validations.

Calibration certificates noting NIST traceability available. Accuracy ±0.18°C @0°C.

Thermocouple Calibrations

Initial Pre-Run Calibrations

Automatic: Low, High and Check in range of -30°C to 140°C or 30°C to 400°C. Additional checks available.

Manual: Low -196°C, High 0°C to 400°C, Check -30°C to 140°C or Check -80°C. Additional checks available.

Final Post-Run Calibrations

Manual: Checks at -196°C, -80°C and/or within range -30°C to 400°C.

Type T

Type T thermocouple (Copper vs. Constantan)

Type T thermocouples are used in oxidizing, inert or dry reducing atmospheres, or vacuum. They are highly resistant to corrosion from atmospheric moisture and condensation and exhibit high stability at low temperature.

FEP insulated wire, 22 awg & 28 awg

FEP insulated probes are fabricated with tips that are heat shrunk to seal the sensor tip from the environment and media, extending the sensor's life. FEP insulated probes with tips are suited for temperature mapping in freezers, refrigerators, incubators, stability chambers and any steam application (SIP, autloclaves). The heat shrink tip protects the thermocouple from moisture pulled through the wire, but care must be taken in steam applications to avoid Damage to the Datalogger Electronics (click to view our Application Tip).

Kapton® insulated probes are suited for dry heat applications to 350°C. Due to the high potential heat, these probes are not tipped.
